Why Arondelle?
This is, in part, and experiment inspired by two panels at FogCon in March of 2019: one about managing to write with a day job, and one about writing as an older adult. In combination, these two panels suggested that there was no better time to start writing than now, and that writing even in very small, possibly disconnected pieces was a vast improvement over not writing; thus, a blog-based format seemed useful.
"Arondelle" is an archaic term for a swallow, and swallows have become my personal icon for (at least) my fifties -- for beauty, and for freedom in flight, and for fierceness.
